As a business owner you have the duty to protect the employees that are working for you, and you’re definitely not going to be able to do that by keeping them on the lowest wage and working them to the bone.

Working conditions are never good in a warehouse. In fact, if health and safety came and did a spot check, they’d probably shut it down. It’s like when schools have inspection, they make everything look as good as possible! However, you should be making sure that the working conditions are great, especially where equipment is concerned. You could save so much time and improve productivity so much, by simply putting in a conveyor belt. A belt that runs through the warehouse, rather than people walking everything through. Management is so important in a warehouse, and it can make all the difference to the smooth running of one. You need to make sure that you’re more involved and caring. The more you care for your employees, the less of a staff turnover you’re going to have, and the more dedicated staff you will have on your team. Your warehouse is going to flow so much better when you’re more involved with how your employees are doing and feeling.
